3 schoolboys injured
NEW
DELHI: Three schoolboys were injured in scuffle and subsequent
firing between two groups in the Acharya Niketan area of east
Delhi.
The
incident took place in the Acharya Niketan market in Mayur Vihar
phase-I at about 8.30 pm on Sunday where these boys had gone for
some work. Trouble apparently started when one of the boys, Vishal,
was getting off his motor cycle. His foot hit a boy, Mahir, who
was standing near the vehicle.
A
fight, reportedly, broke out between the four and Mahir allegedly
threatened to get eve. Vishal’s father, Niranjan Gosh, alleged
that Mahir returned with his father and five others in two cars.
The men were allegedly armed with hockey sticks and rods. ‘‘Mahir’s
father was also carrying a revolver,’’ said joint
commissioner of police (New Delhi range), Maxwell Pereira.
The
police said Mahir’s father, took out his revolver and fired
in air. According to Gosh, Vishal’s right arm was fractured
and his other two friends received eight to ten stitches. The
police have registered two ‘cross’ cases against both
the parties. TNN
